I'm back!

Postby coon4492 » Sun Feb 14, 2010 8:52 pm

hey everyone weren't you all wondering why I haven't been posting? Well anyways I'm back on the forum it seems kinda dead lately. I took a little break from this forum for awhile mainly because I've been trying to get more important things done like school and finding a job. Unfortunatley I still don't have a job teenage unemployment is still high oh well I'll just be a bum I guess. I've got time to kill again and the cold weather isn't inspiring me to get out into the woods so I'm back!

You and LDS back at the same time. Something going on? LOL KOTF has still been around like the rest of us. Poking fun at me for getting some "modern" shelters. When he gets older and the body gets older, I would like to see how "his body" still feels about building bush shelters. Not that it can't be done, just harder. LOL

Keep looking for a job. You will get one. Even if its just part-time. Just keep trying.

this is the kid who wears shorts in the middle of february when theres snow on the ground! He probably would just sleep outside and deal with it lol. Actually king wants to get one of the hennessy (didn't spell that right) hammocks. They're basically a backpacking tent in hammock form kind of cool.

dude you got a shotgun! WOO! thats what I want for my 18th birthday some kind of gun. Maybe an AR-15 although those are expensive. A shotguns a good way to start a firearms collection. Just think now we won't be borrowing our parents firearms anymore.

yea nothings more dangerous than an artistic photographer  Even the cop knew this was stupid he wasn't surprised to find a kid with a camera. Thats part of the fun of night photography though the crazy stuff that happens. Some night photographers go to places like junkyards or haunted houses they can usually tell the best stories.

I'm not trying to lead you guys astray, probably too late for that anyway, (you two are hopeless) but has the "Little boy that cried wolf" come to your minds.

You get the police responding to these calls and they keep finding "that kid with his camera" and they finally quit responding to those calls with such excitement. Finally they start comming when they can get around to it, or they just call to see if you are doing photo work.

Pretty soon you can do pretty much what you want, inside the law, without harassment.

OMG what have I done???

Good Lord above please forgive me for this transgression against the social order as we have known it.

Reminds me of the year I was a freshman in college and the campus only had two old retired guys working security. One had a bad limp and the other was constantly spraying mace into the wind and debilitating himself. (Honest, he would spray a cloud while chasing someone and run into it) Big interior loop on the campus was a mile around. Me and a couple of buds taped cigarettes to star cluster rocket fuses and spaced them around the scenic old grounds, then set on the steps of the admin building watching the old geezers chase the rockets red glare around the loop.

We gave them a detailed discription of the car the "vandals" were driving. Camoflage VW bug, just like the one the university president's son drove. (he would have been with us but his dad had him grounded for drinking.)

After growing up in a small southern town and never being busted I considered the southeast asian devils quite ametuerish in their Gurrillia warfare methods.

wow those security gaurds remind me of my neighbors they would be stupid enough to spray mace and run into it. I've never had the plesaure of harrassing secuirty gaurds like that but I have pulled stuff like that on a few park rangers.

You could not pull the same stunt today!

In 1968, when I started college, there were 4,000 students there. We had 3 security officers, all retired cops, and one patrol car, a 1961 Ford Falcon. The school practicaly closed down on weekends.

4 years latter the school had grown to 10000 and there was a security staff of over 100 using state of the art equipment and holding state comissions.

Today that same little school has around 30,000 enrolled and a security force of 300 full time officers devided into patrol, traffic and investigation sections. That is more officers than the couty where I now live! Smarter officers too. That college force is hired on merit. The local PD hires based on kinship in their inbred KY clan.

geez thats a lot of security gaurds, that college has its own personal army with that many men. Are they as skilled as the Mall security? Those guys are master ninjas with special boots that can walk on walls. They carry the finest weaponry better than SWAT. Those guys once saved an arcade from an asian gang trying to steal the mortal kombat machine

thats really funny, my dad and his friends in college used to do the same thing exept they used bottle rockets, 2 teams on the different sides of the the campus and when the police would go towards the one side of the the campus the other side would fire the bottle rockets off. then the cops got smart and broke off to each side at the same time and chased them into the woods, my dad and everyone else exept for one person got out of the woods ok, but they found their drunk friend the next day hiding under a fallen tree in his boxers. :D

yea me and joe have had some fun times with park rangers, take away the hot pockets and beer and they fall to pieces.
