Huckleberry board and spindle

Did not work for me today. While Huckleberries are great trail nibbles, seasoned Huckleberry wood does not lend itself to baseboard and spindle work. I guess when the sap leaves the wood, some sap compounds or elements are still in the wood preventing friction. Anyway it did not work for me on the firebow this time out.
