I suppose the time has come when I must face the problem of a worn out shoulder. It hurts when I move it "like that", so the only senseable thing to do is not move it "like that". The problem is that I must move it "like that" to draw my bows.
If I hunt with a bow this year it will necessitate the use of a crossbow. There is no restriction in my state and no legal problem. Being a cheapskate I refuse to pay more for a compound crossbow than I did for the car I am carrying it in.
Gress I better start playing around with ideas again. I think I'll try another surgical tubing powered unit so I can stick to standard arrows. Perhaps a two shooter unit this time. That might be handy, an over under crossbow.

you could always just recycle a leaf spring and make a crossbow out of that. I think you can get enough power out of a leaf spring crossbow to kill a deer. You can tell everyone you've gone "green" because you recycled an old leaf spring into a deadly weapon. Recycling is fun!
If your making the crossbow prod out of wood I assume you would need to use alot of backing because of the small size. Right?

The last one I made was from an old buggy seat spring. It worked great and I doubt that I will ever find another buggy seat spring. Car and light trailer springs are still availabe.
I just wanted to use something easily obtained and wierd this time.

Couldn't you just take one of your drying bow staffs and cut it down to make it a cross bow prod?
